양정욱은 이야기를 짓는다. 정확히는 그가 바라는 사람들의 이야기를 짓는다. 이야기 속 주인공들은 늘 어떠한 과정에 있거나 무엇인가 하고 있다. 일상의 크고 작은 고난과 희망 사이에서 해보고 또 해보는 사람들이 그가 다루는 주제다. 2024년 국립현대미술관 〈올해의 작가상〉을 최종 수상하였고, 2025년 문화체육관광부 오늘의 젊은 예술가상을 수상하였다. 그의 작품은 언뜻 정지해 있는 것처럼 보일 정도로 느리지만, 오래 머물며 응시할 때 비로소 살아 숨 쉬는 움직임을 드러낸다.

Jung Uk Yang constructs stories. More precisely, he builds narratives around the people he hopes for. The protagonists in his stories are always in the middle of a process or actively engaged in an endeavor. His work centers on individuals who persistently try and try again, navigating between the minor hardships and hopes of everyday life. He was the final winner of the Korea Artist Prize 2024 at the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Korea (MMCA), and received the Today's Young Artist Award from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in 2025. At first glance, his sculptures move so slowly that they appear almost static. It is only when one lingers and gazes intently that they reveal their living, breathing motion.

염인화는 미디어 아티스트이자 공학 연구자, 그리고 바이오브(BiOVE)의 창립자다. 주로 확장현실(XR) 및 인공지능(AI) 기술과 공연 예술의 교차점에서 작업한다. 그의 작품은 바이오식민주의 및 기술자본주의의 역사 속에서 형성된 ‘소수자성’을 다루며, (비)인간의 다양한 행동, 반응, 표현을 포용하는 무대처럼 기능한다. 작가는 눈에 보이지 않는 소중한 가치들을 디지털 작품으로 시각화함으로써, 관람객이 그 공간에 머물며 기술과 인간성이 공존하는 방식을 깊이 사유하도록 이끈다.

Inhwa Yeom is a media artist, engineering researcher, and the founder of BiOVE. Her practice primarily operates at the intersection of Extended Reality (XR), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and the performing arts. Interrogating the concept of ‘marginalization’ shaped within the history of biocolonialism and technocapitalism, her works function as staging environments that embrace a diverse spectrum of (non)human behaviors, responses, and expressions. By visualizing invisible yet invaluable core tenets into digital creations, the artist invites audiences to dwell within these spaces and deeply contemplate the ways in which technology and humanity coexist.

한윤정은 미디어아트를 기반으로 우주적 이주와 비가시적 풍경을 조명하며, 테크놀로지와 공공 공간을 연결하는 실험적인 작업을 펼쳐온 작가다. 주로 실제 해양 데이터나 생명 과학 데이터를 예술적 영상 언어로 변환하는 방식을 통해 과학과 예술의 경계면을 탐구한다. 수면 아래의 심해, 혹은 도래할 행성 간 이주의 풍경처럼 그의 영상은 인간의 시각적 한계를 넘어선 대상을 화면 위로 끌어올리며, 가까운 미래와 먼 우주 사이에 존재하는 사유의 공간을 시각화한다. 현재 미국 캘리포니아의 산호세 주립대학교(San José State University) 디자인학부 부교수로 재직하며 후학을 양성하고 있다.

Yoon Chung Han is a media artist whose experimental practice bridges technology and public space, focusing on themes of cosmic migration and invisible landscapes. She explores the frontiers between science and art, primarily transforming empirical marine and biological data into poetic cinematic languages. Capturing subjects beyond human visual limitations—such as the deep sea or prospective interplanetary migration—her video works surface hidden realities onto the screen, visualizing spaces for contemplation that exist between the near future and the distant cosmos. She is currently based in California, where she fosters future generations of creators as an Associate Professor in the Department of Design at San José State University.

신효흔은 영상과 미디어아트, 무대 연출, 영화미술의 경계를 가로지르며 의식의 시간성과 감각의 변용을 탐구하는 작가다. 자연의 외형을 그대로 재현하기보다, 대상이 인간의 의식 속에서 부풀어 오르고 분해되며 끝내 재형성되는 역동적인 과정 자체를 시각 언어로 펼쳐낸다. 2026년 한국문화예술위원회 공연예술창작산실〈올해의 신작〉 미디어아트 연출자로 참여했으며, 2025년 서울문화재단과 한국콘텐츠진흥원의 미디어아티스트로 선정되었다. 부산국제단편영화제 상영작 시각 연출 등 매체를 넘나드는 활발한 활동을 통해, 주목받는 신진 창작자 중 한 명으로 자리매김하고 있다.

Hyoheun Shin traverses the boundaries of video, media art, scenic direction, and production design to explore the temporality of consciousness and altered perception. Rather than replicating nature, she visualizes the dynamic process of subjects expanding, dissolving, and reconfiguring within human awareness. In 2026, she served as a media art director for ARKO Selection by the Arts Council Korea. She was also named a featured media artist by the Seoul Foundation for Arts and Culture and the Korea Creative Content Agency in 2025. Spanning various media, including visual direction at the Busan International Short Film Festival, Shin is rapidly establishing herself as a compelling emerging creator.
